Why ZAK?

Modern dentistry is not just about individual treatments. What matters is how experience, digital technology, safety and personal care work together.

At ZAK, we combine many years of clinical experience, digital diagnostics, our own in-house CAD/CAM laboratory, high hygiene standards, redundant technology and a well-coordinated team. This creates clear processes, short distances and treatment that is carefully planned medically and personally supported.

Experience that grows within the team

At ZAK, experience does not simply mean many years of professional practice by individual practitioners. What matters is that knowledge is shared, reviewed and further developed within the team.

In our practice, dental treatment, the surgical team, prophylaxis, assistance, sterilisation, the laboratory and administration work closely together. Especially for more complex treatments such as implantology, prosthetics, periodontal therapy or aesthetic dentistry, patients benefit from this shared perspective on diagnostics, planning, implementation and aftercare.

Exchange of experience within the team
Treatments are not viewed in isolation. Findings, X-rays, digital planning, prosthetic questions, surgical workflows and aftercare are coordinated within the team. This brings different perspectives into the treatment—from dental planning and surgical implementation to assistance, prophylaxis and laboratory checks.

Continuing education as part of the practice structure
ZAK is not only a place of treatment, but also a venue for continuing education and workshops. Surgical topics, live surgeries, digital planning, operating theatre organisation and modern treatment concepts are not only applied here, but also taught and discussed professionally.

Continuous learning from daily practice
Many insights arise from day-to-day work: What works in patient care? How can processes be made safer? Which digital processes improve planning and documentation? How can prosthetic work be better coordinated? This knowledge is shared within the team and integrated into daily treatment.

Expertise through collaboration
At ZAK, experience is created not only through individual qualifications, but through the combination of clinical experience, surgical expertise, digital technology, structured processes and regular professional development.

This is how experience becomes a true quality factor: not static, but dynamic, verifiable and applied anew in every treatment.

Digital technology

At ZAK, digital technology is not an add-on, but part of the overall practice concept. It supports diagnostics, planning, documentation, treatment and prosthetics—from the first examination to the final restoration.

Digital diagnostics
Digital X-ray technology, digital volume tomography, intraoral scanners and intraoral cameras help to record findings more precisely and document them better. This makes it easier for patients to understand many findings, because images, scans and recordings can be shown directly and explained.

Networked treatment rooms
ZAK’s digital infrastructure was planned from the very beginning. Treatment rooms, X-ray, sterilisation, administration and the dental laboratory are networked with one another. This ensures that important information is available where it is needed.

Digital planning instead of isolated individual steps
Especially in implantology, prosthetics, periodontitis, endodontics and aesthetic dentistry, it is important to bring different information together. X-rays, 3D data, intraoral scans, photos, findings and treatment planning are not considered separately, but integrated into the treatment workflow.

Digital support for surgical procedures

At ZAK, surgical treatments are also prepared and documented digitally. For implantology, bone augmentation or sinus lifts, digital X-rays, digital volume tomography, intraoral scans, photos and treatment data can be included in the planning.

This is not only about the position of an implant, but about the entire process: diagnostics, surgical planning, material preparation, surgical documentation, aftercare and later prosthetic restoration. Digital documentation supports our internal quality management and makes treatment steps, materials used and workflows traceable.

In this way, digital technology at ZAK connects not only diagnostics and prosthetics, but also surgical planning, structured surgical workflows and long-term care.

CAD/CAM laboratory in the practice
Thanks to our in-house CAD/CAM laboratory, digital impressions, design, manufacturing and dental checks can be directly linked. Prosthetics, temporary restorations, splints and certain restorations can therefore be planned more precisely, produced faster and checked directly in the practice.

More control and better coordination
Digital technology does not replace dental experience. It supports it. The advantage comes from the combination of modern equipment, clinical assessment and direct coordination within the team. This makes treatments easier to plan, better documented and more closely monitored.

Safety through planning, hygiene and redundancy

At ZAK, safety does not begin during treatment, but already in the planning of the practice, the technical infrastructure and daily workflows. Many of these safety aspects remain in the background for patients—but they are essential for modern dentistry.

Redundant technology
Central supply systems such as compressed air, suction and water treatment are designed redundantly at ZAK. This means that important functions do not depend on a single technical component. It supports stable workflows—especially for surgical procedures, longer treatments and surgery days.

Hygienic workflows
Clean and contaminated areas, instrument reprocessing, sterilisation and storage have been deliberately structured. Used instruments follow a clear route for reprocessing, while sterile instruments are provided separately and traceably.

Documented quality management
Reprocessing, sterilisation, release and use of instruments are documented with software support. Instruments and instrument sets are traceable via barcodes. Maintenance, validations, equipment checks and water quality are also part of internal quality management.

Safety for surgical procedures
For more extensive surgical treatments, ZAK works with exclusively organised surgery days. The practice is then specifically geared towards surgical patients. Preparation, sterile goods, materials, assistance, technology and aftercare can therefore be organised in a focused manner.

Two surgically experienced practitioners in the surgical team
For implant procedures, Dr. med. stom. Andreea Krauss and Prof. Dr. Ingo Voges work together in the surgical team. This four-eyes principle enables professional exchange, mutual checks and additional safety in the process.

At ZAK, safety therefore does not only mean modern equipment, but an interplay of planning, hygiene, documentation, technology, teamwork and clear processes.

Personal care from the first question to aftercare

Modern dentistry requires technology, planning and safety—but personal care is just as important. At ZAK, patients should understand what is planned, why certain steps make sense and what alternatives are available.

Clear consultation
We take the time to explain findings, X-rays, digital images and possible treatment steps in an understandable way. Especially for implantology, prosthetics, periodontitis, root canal treatments or aesthetic treatments, good information is crucial.

Structured support
From the first examination through diagnostics, medical history, planning, treatment and aftercare, the processes remain clearly organised. Patients know which steps are coming up and what they should pay attention to.

Dedicated contacts within the team
For more extensive treatments, dentists, the surgical team, assistance, prophylaxis, sterilisation, the laboratory and administration work closely together. This means that medical, organisational and dental-technical questions are not considered in isolation, but coordinated within the team.

Multilingual care
Our international team can support patients in several languages. This makes consultation, organisation and treatment easier, especially for people who are not native German speakers or who come to Berlin specifically for treatment.

At ZAK, personal care means: clear communication, transparent processes, dedicated contacts and a team that not only treats patients, but supports them throughout the entire treatment journey.

ZAK combines experience, technology, safety and personal care

Whether preventive care, tooth preservation, implantology, prosthetics or aesthetic dentistry—our aim is treatment that is carefully planned, safely organised and supported in the long term.

We provide individual advice, assess your initial situation and explain clearly what options are available.
