Our Practice
From shell construction to a modern dental practice
The planning of the ZAK dental practice began in mid-2019. A modern practice was created from a completely empty shell – without an existing room layout, without treatment rooms, without sterilization, without an X-ray room, and without an existing technical infrastructure.
Precisely because nothing was predetermined, the entire practice could be planned to fit perfectly: room layout, treatment rooms, technical rooms, laboratory, sterilization, X-ray area, and digital infrastructure were geared towards modern dentistry from the very beginning.
The technical supply could also be fully included in the planning. Air conditioning, ventilation, water management, compressed air, suction, water treatment, and the entire supply for the dental units were not added later, but specifically integrated into the practice concept.
The technical rooms were deliberately separated from the patient and treatment areas. This allows central systems to work in the background without affecting the atmosphere, comfort, or treatment processes.
The decisive expansion phase took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, hygiene, safety, indoor air, routing, and technical redundancy became even more of a focus. The first patient was treated at the beginning of January 2021.

Technology that creates safety in the background.
Many important quality features of a modern dental practice are hardly visible to patients. At ZAK, the technical infrastructure was therefore deliberately planned from the start – not added later.
Redundant supply systems
The compressed air system, suction, and water treatment are designed redundantly. Important functions therefore do not depend on a single technical component.
Separate technical rooms
The central technical rooms are completely separated from the patient and treatment areas. Supply technology works in the background without affecting the atmosphere, comfort, or treatment processes.
Stable workflows in daily practice
Suction, irrigation, compressed air, and water must be reliably available, especially during surgical procedures, sedation, or general anesthesia. Technical planning supports safe and as uninterrupted as possible practice operations.
Invisible but crucial
For patients, this technology mostly remains in the background. For practice operations, however, it is central: it ensures that treatment rooms, surgical procedures, hygiene processes, and the laboratory are reliably supplied and that the practice can work stably even at high capacity.

Clear separation of sterile and non-sterile
Used instruments follow a defined path for reprocessing. Cleaning, disinfection, packaging, sterilization, and storage are clearly structured spatially and organizationally.
Planned instrument flow
Sterile and non-sterile instruments should not overlap in handling as much as possible. This clear routing supports traceable processes and reduces unnecessary points of contact.
Documented Quality Management
Instruments and instrument sets are recorded using barcodes. This ensures that the instruments used are automatically assigned to each treatment performed.
Software-Supported Control
Thermal disinfectors, DAC, sealing devices, and sterilizers are integrated into the digital documentation. Reprocessing, sterilization, release, maintenance, validation, and water quality are recorded in a traceable manner.
Invisible but Important
For patients, this hygienic workflow usually remains in the background. However, for a modern practice, it is crucial: it ensures that treatment, reprocessing, and storage interlock reliably.

Modern Network Infrastructure
A powerful network infrastructure connects treatment rooms, X-ray, administration, sterilization, and the dental laboratory. Central servers and modern computers ensure that images, scans, treatment data, and documentation are available wherever they are needed.
Digital Treatment Rooms
All treatment rooms are equipped with modern computer technology. Each treatment room has its own 3D intraoral scanner and intraoral cameras for documentation and patient education.
Digital Diagnostics
Two digital small X-ray units and a CBCT system enable precise radiological diagnostics. The ultra-low-dose certified X-ray technology supports modern imaging with the lowest possible radiation exposure.
Digital Dental Laboratory
The practice's own laboratory is also fully networked. Four CAM milling machines and a central CAD design workstation enable digital planning, design, and manufacturing directly in the practice.
Everything Connected
Scans, X-rays, photos, treatment planning, CAD design, and manufacturing interlock digitally. This results in short distances, fewer media discontinuities, and a close connection between treatment, diagnostics, and the laboratory.

Modern dentistry only works through the interaction of many areas. At ZAK, dentists, surgically experienced practitioners, assistants, prophylaxis specialists, sterilization staff, the laboratory, and administration work closely together – from the first consultation to aftercare.
Coordinated Collaboration
Many treatment steps interlock directly: diagnostics, treatment planning, surgical preparation, assistance, instrument reprocessing, prosthetics, appointment organization, and patient care. This creates clear processes and short communication channels within the practice.
Personal Care
Patients should not be treated anonymously. Our team accompanies them in an understandable, calm, and structured manner – during consultations, during treatment, with organizational questions, and in aftercare.
Qualified Assistance and Prophylaxis
Trained assistants and qualified prophylaxis staff support the treatments professionally and organizationally. Especially for surgical procedures, prophylaxis, periodontitis care, and longer treatments, an experienced team in the background is crucial.
Hygiene, Laboratory, and Organization
Even the areas that patients often hardly see are important: sterilization, quality management, material preparation, CAD/CAM laboratory, documentation, and administration ensure that treatments are reliably prepared and traceably accompanied.
Multilingual and Personal
Our international team cares for patients in several languages and creates an atmosphere where questions can be asked and treatment steps can be explained clearly.
